Covid PPE scam boss who bought Rolexes and a £126,000 Porsche after duping firms is jailed for eight years

Jogesh Bhandari, 60, of Loughborough, posed as a supplier of millions of boxes of nitrile gloves he never possessed. He defrauded US company Med18 and German firm MedTech across a period running from late 2020 to early 2022. At Northampton Crown Court, Judge William Harbage KC described him as the 'driving force' behind the fraud and said Bhandari's letter of remorse was 'difficult to accept'.
Accomplice Craig Morris, 43, of Lytham St Annes, received a sentence of three years and nine months.
Wife Meenakashi Bhandari, an ex-pharmacist, avoided custody and was given a suspended sentence.
Proceeds also paid for an Audi A5, a Land Rover Discovery, jewellery and holidays.
