Adam Lucas, 51, was found dead in the River Leam in Victoria Park, Leamington Spa, at around 7.45am on 15 April by a member of the public. A post-mortem examination determined that his injuries were consistent with an assault, prompting Warwickshire Police to open a murder investigation. Crimestoppers has now put up £20,000 for anonymous tip-offs that help bring those responsible to justice. Detective Inspector Gareth Unett said someone knows what happened and urged anyone with information to come forward.

Four people — including two from Birmingham and two from Leamington Spa — have been arrested on suspicion of murder and released on bail.

Crimestoppers emphasised that even minor details could be passed on anonymously and might prove crucial to the investigation.

Police say Adam's family 'continue to live with the pain of not knowing exactly what happened to him.'
