Criminology graduate, 22, is killed in A1 crash in Northumberland days before starting her dream detective training

Erin Bennett died at the scene on the A1 near Felton shortly after 12.15pm on Sunday 18 October. The collision involved a Nissan Qashqai heading north and a Renault Clio and a Tesla heading south. Her family said their 'whole world has been shattered beyond belief'. Northumbria Police, the force she was about to join, has appealed for witnesses and dashcam footage.

Her family hailed her as a big sister, daughter and 'best friend' with a 'contagious smile'.

Boyfriend Craig paid tribute: 'You were the light of my life.'

The force's serious collision investigation unit is working to establish the full circumstances.
