Dame Judi Dench reveals in her memoir that killing off M in Skyfall was Daniel Craig's idea, and she is 'still sulking'

Dame Judi Dench, 91, writes in her new memoir 'Is It Too Late to Make a Run For It?' that Daniel Craig personally pushed for her character M to be killed in the 2012 Bond film 'Skyfall', despite not being at the dinner where producers broke the news to her. She says she never cried at the decision — pointing out she outlasted even Roger Moore across eight films — but admits she is still holding a grudge over her death more than a decade on.
Dench says she begged to get out from behind M's desk since 'GoldenEye' in 1995, when the crew flew to Monte Carlo while she got three days in Watford.
'Well, they did finally let me out from behind my desk… and they shot me,' she writes, before adding: 'Apparently it was Daniel's idea to have me killed. Arsehole.'
She has never watched the 2015 sequel 'Spectre' — 'because they killed me off, I'm still sulking.'
