Dame Sarah Storey reveals her son Charlie, nine, has Type 1 diabetes just a year after his sister's diagnosis

Charlie was admitted to hospital days after his mother, 48, was voted off 'Strictly Come Dancing', with Storey saying he had 'really high blood pressure'. Her Paralympian husband Barney Storey also has the condition. She admitted you 'always hope that it might miss one of them'. Storey spent her first week off the dancefloor in hospital with her son, grateful she could rush home for 'big cuddles'.

Charlie is already doing his own injections and working out the dosages himself.

His sister Louisa, 13, was diagnosed with the same condition 12 months ago.
