Anti-migrant activist Daniel Thomas, 37, known as Danny Tommo, appeared via videolink at Margate Magistrates' Court on Friday charged with entering a restricted zone at the Western Jet Foil migrant processing centre in Dover on March 31. He has already been remanded in custody after being refused bail this week in a separate case accusing him of slashing a migrant dinghy in the English Channel on September 22. His case was sent for a further management hearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court on November 4.
Thomas pleaded guilty to entering the Dover restricted zone at an earlier August 27 hearing, but denies charges of threatening behaviour and racially aggravated harassment.
He also faces a separate charge of failing to disclose his phone PIN to police under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act.
His trial for the alleged dinghy slashing — which carries a maximum of ten years if damage exceeds £5,000 — is scheduled for March 1, 2027.
