Daryz makes history as the first colt in 48 years to win back-to-back Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe titles

Daryz became only the ninth horse ever to win the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe twice, powering to victory by more than a length at ParisLongchamp on Sunday. The Francis-Henri Graffard-trained four-year-old repeated his 2025 triumph, with jockey Mickael Barzalona steering him through a 16-strong field to hit the front in the closing stages. Owners Aga Khan Studs collected a winner's cheque of more than £2.5m, vindicating the bold decision to keep last year's winner in training rather than retire him to stud.

Daryz is the first colt to double up in the Arc since Alleged achieved it 48 years ago.

Bay City Roller finished second at 28-1, with Aidan O'Brien's Diamond Necklace third.

'He showed his talent and that made the difference,' said winning jockey Barzalona.
