Davina McCall reveals she has cardiovascular disease two years after emergency surgery to remove a rare brain tumour

The 59-year-old Long Lost Family host made the announcement on her podcast 'Begin Again', teaming up with the British Heart Foundation for World Menopause Day. It follows a scare last October, when she had a 4mm lump removed over breast cancer fears before being given the all clear. She did not say how the condition has affected her. Instead she urged women not to 'brush things off'.
'Once you've been ill, you think "Oh, I thought I was invincible,"' she said.
She warned that heart attacks are 'rife' among women after the menopause.
Her advice is to get your blood pressure and cholesterol checked and 'listen to your body'.
