Charlie Storey is already giving himself injections and working out his own dosages, his Paralympian mother says. She rushed home to care for him after he was admitted to hospital with very high blood sugar. Her husband Barney and daughter Louisa, 13, both live with the condition. Louisa was diagnosed just 12 months ago, and Dame Sarah said: 'You always hope that it might miss one of them.'

She captioned her Instagram video: 'Sometimes higher powers are at play.'

Dame Sarah and partner Julian Caillon lost a tango dance-off to Bethany Antonia.

By Sunday, Charlie was 'planning the rest of his half term out as normal again'.
