'Days of Our Lives' 'star Robert Kelker-Kelly' died of heart disease after turning down a hospital trip, examiner rules

Robert Kelker-Kelly, who played Bo Brady on 'Days of Our Lives' for three years from 1992, died of arteriosclerotic heart disease — commonly known as coronary artery disease — the Office of the Regional Medical Examiner in St Charles, Missouri, confirmed. His wife Allison Kelly picked him up from Spirit Airport at around 7:30pm on October 3; during the drive home he complained of chest and left arm pain and asked her to pull over so he could vomit. Despite the alarming symptoms, he refused her offer to take him to hospital and asked to go home and rest instead.

Kelker-Kelly asked his wife for an aspirin, but when she returned from the kitchen she found him unresponsive and not breathing.

CPR was performed and paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at 9:09pm; his manner of death was ruled natural.

Beyond 'Days of Our Lives', Kelker-Kelly appeared in 434 episodes of 'Another World' and played Stavros Cassadine on 'General Hospital'.
