Death toll rises to two after an attack on a Saudi airport as the US orders diplomats to leave

A Saudi citizen and an Indian national were killed and eight more people injured in Wednesday evening's attack on King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation said. Flights were diverted away before operations resumed. The State Department has ordered non-emergency staff and families out of Saudi Arabia. Britain's Foreign Office advises against all but essential travel to most of the kingdom.

State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott blamed 'Iranian-supported Houthis' for attacks on civilian airports.

Saudi forces said they intercepted four drone attacks in the Eastern region.

Drone debris also killed a Nepali and a Filipino worker at the Shaybah oil field.
