Deloitte partners pocket a record £1.1m each as firm cuts staff and revenue tops £5.8bn

From the Newshound archive · first published 30 September 2026.

Deloitte UK's partners took home an average of £1.1m each last year — a record high — even as the firm continued cutting staff below partnership level. Distributable profit climbed 14% while total revenue rose to £5.8bn, cementing Deloitte's position as one of Britain's biggest professional services operations. The figures lay bare a widening gulf between the firm's elite tier and the workforce bearing the brunt of headcount reductions.

Deloitte UK has also taken on more partners despite the staff cuts, swelling the ranks sharing the record payout.

The results will intensify scrutiny of Big Four pay structures at a time when thousands of junior staff across the sector have faced redundancy.
