Derbyshire bar appeals for the return of its lamp after CCTV shows a woman allegedly slipping it into her handbag

The clip, posted by Krak Matlock, a German-themed bar on Dale Road, has racked up over six million views. Staff joked that they had found footage of 'a lovely lady misplacing it' while hunting for the missing light. They say one of their tables is now 'in complete darkness'. In the video, the woman then nudges a second lamp to the centre of her table to cover the gap.

She glanced around first, then tucked the bag under the table and kept chatting.

The bar is asking for her name, or for word on when its property comes back.

One viewer quipped: 'Police had a look, but are completely in the dark.'
