Gerry McGovern, 71, the chief creative officer who masterminded Jaguar's notorious 2024 rebrand, was handed the ban at Willesden Magistrates' Court on October 23 under the single justice procedure. McGovern failed to pay a fixed-penalty notice issued in January after being caught by an automatic speed camera on December 9. Magistrates also ordered him to pay a £220 fine plus £218 in costs and a victim surcharge.

McGovern was caught doing 25mph in his £160,000 Range Rover P615 SV — a model he designed himself — on Chelsea Embankment.

His 'Copy Nothing' rebrand, featuring androgynous models but no cars, drew criticism from Nigel Farage, Donald Trump and Elon Musk.

McGovern had already left JLR by the time the case was heard, dismissed days after new chief executive PB Balaji took over from Tata Motors.
