Detectives appeal for dashcam footage after a man, 54, was killed by a lorry crossing the A127 in Havering

The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the Southend Arterial Road shortly before 7pm on Thursday. Detective Inspector Sion Hughes, of the Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said officers were still piecing together exactly what happened. Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service raced to the scene alongside police. His family have been told and specialist officers are supporting them.

Nobody has been arrested and the investigation is continuing.

Hughes: 'Any information you have could be vital in our investigation.'

Witnesses are urged to call 101 quoting reference 5831/22OCT.
