Dispatch audio captures mass-casualty response as Kansas soccer field driver walks free without charges

Newly released dispatch recordings reveal first responders declaring a mass-casualty incident at Wichita's Stryker Sports Complex, after a 34-year-old Garden City mother drove a pickup truck onto a soccer field, killing a six-year-old boy and a man, 35. Wichita Police released the driver without charge while awaiting toxicology results and a mechanical inspection of her truck. Cole Adrian, six, and Nicholas Schafer, 35, both from McPherson, died at the scene on Saturday. Ten others, five of them children, were hurt. Two of the driver's own children were in the back of her truck.

Cole's father Chris Adrian called his son 'the joy and light of our community'.

A mother who witnessed the crash recalled the horrifying moment the truck plowed through the game.
