Anthony Williams, accused of attempting to murder 14 people across a Halloween weekend stabbing spree, has already pleaded guilty to 10 counts of wounding on the LNER service in July.

Anthony Williams, 33, of Peterborough, is on trial at Cambridge Crown Court accused of 14 counts of attempted murder across a Halloween weekend rampage through Peterborough, east London and an LNER train from Doncaster to King's Cross. Prosecutors told jurors the carnage on the train was "all over in about five minutes" as Williams, who admits the attacks but denies intent to kill, marched through carriages with 'the greatest delight on his face'. Witnesses described him as looking 'like a person who's high', loving 'every single moment' of the terror he inflicted.

Rail worker Samir Zitouni erected a 'defensive blockade' of frying pans and a toaster, while passenger Raza Aslam grabbed a pan before being stabbed in the hand.

Victim Sachin Balakrishnan was stabbed in the chest, puncturing a lung 'centimetres from his heart', while 73-year-old David Presland was stabbed in the back on his hands and knees.
