Dolly Parton's estate names her niece as brand ambassador amid a legal battle with the singer's nephew

Danielle Parton, 50, a pilot who runs her own moonshine distillery, insists she is 'not crazy enough' to try to fill her aunt's shoes. She announced the role in an Instagram Reel on Thursday, vowing to share 'the woman that I knew'. The country legend died aged 80 on August 25 after a 'brief battle' with cancer. Danielle is the daughter of Dolly's younger brother, Bobby Lee Parton.

The estate is fighting her cousin Bryan Seaver, Dolly's nephew and former head of security.

Danielle promised fans she would 'never try and speak for Dolly'.

'God knows I couldn't walk on them without killing myself,' she joked about Dolly's stilettos.
