Dolly Parton's niece Danielle, a pilot and moonshine maker, is named brand ambassador of the late singer's estate
Danielle Parton, 50, joked she is 'not crazy enough to try to fill her shoes', adding that she could not walk in them 'without killing myself'. The pilot served 20 years in the Air National Guard and flew C-130 and C-5 aircraft. Her appointment comes as the estate fights a legal battle with her cousin Bryan Seaver, who was fired as Dolly's head of security. Dolly died of cancer on August 25, aged 80.
A Nashville judge has required Seaver to keep a distance of at least 1,000 feet from all individuals connected to the business.
Danielle runs the Shine Girl moonshine distillery, which sits two doors down from Dollywood.
