Dorset Police release wetsuit images in appeal to identify unrecognised man found dead off Sandbanks

Dorset Police are appealing for help to identify a man whose body was recovered from the sea near Sandbanks Quay, Poole, at 8.38am on Wednesday after he was spotted floating in the water. Officers have released images of his distinctive clothing after attempts to establish his identity failed. Detective Inspector Edmund Murray said there is currently no indication that his death was suspicious.

The man is described as white, around 5ft 8in, medium to stocky build, thought to be in his 50s, with brown hair, short and unshaven.

He was wearing a full wetsuit, black swim leggings, a navy Adidas T-shirt with red writing, black swimming shoes, and grey Speedo goggles pushed up onto his forehead.

Anyone who recognises him is urged to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55260157164.
