Double-decker bus crashes into building near Hayes and Harlington station, injuring pedestrian and driver

A social media video showed the H98 service riding up a mini-roundabout on Station Road, Hayes, before striking a parked car, sending a man to the ground, and coming to rest lodged in the facade of Trident House — an apartment block beside Hayes and Harlington station — at around 7.30pm on Friday. First Bus confirmed there were no passengers aboard when the crash occurred. The driver and the pedestrian both suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
London Ambulance Service sent multiple crews and treated one man, who was subsequently discharged without being taken to hospital.
TfL closed Station Road between North Hyde Road and Clayton Road in both directions, causing knock-on delays across west London.
First Bus said damage to the building was confirmed as non-structural and pledged to fully support authorities investigating the circumstances.
