Driver in her 70s is released from hospital after 'medical incident' crash that killed a man inside a Wolverhampton Lidl

Police plan to interview the driver when the time is right, and the Serious Collision Investigation Unit is now examining her final moments at the wheel. The victim was a man in his 30s who had been shopping at the Finchfield Hill store when the car struck shortly before 6pm on Friday. Despite receiving advanced life support from paramedics, he could not be saved. Two other people remain in hospital with serious injuries.

Sergeant Chloe Collins wants dashcam footage from drivers on Finchfield Hill between 5pm and 6pm.

The car crushed a trolley, bent a metal bollard and came to rest on the shop floor.

Police say the death is not suspicious, and specialist officers are supporting the man's family.
