Simone de Gale, convicted in her absence at Ealing Magistrates' Court after a warrant was issued for her arrest, is said to have been stranded in Dubai since September 8.

Simone de Gale, 44, of Notting Hill, was found guilty on four charges at Ealing Magistrates' Court today after failing to appear — including assault, being drunk aboard an aircraft and threatening behaviour. She jabbed stewardess Sarah Jane Buckland near the collarbone and grabbed her cardigan on a Virgin Atlantic flight from Dubai to Heathrow on February 5. A warrant has been issued for her arrest.

De Gale flew into a rage after being asked not to walk through an aisle where a family with a nine-month-old baby was sleeping.

She repeatedly accused cabin crew of racism and told one attendant: 'You're a f***ing dumb air hostess — you need to learn your place.'

De Gale's personal assistant claims she has been stranded in Dubai since September 8 and was due to return to the UK this weekend.
