Vacuum maker Dyson paid a £750m dividend to Sir James Dyson's Singapore-based family investment firm Weybourne Holdings in 2025, up sharply from £200m the year before — the lowest payout in at least seven years. The bumper return came even as US tariffs, which chief executive Hanno Kirner called "particularly damaging", helped drag revenue down 6.7 per cent to £6.13bn. Operating profit nonetheless rose 15 per cent to £600m, giving Dyson room to reverse years of shrinking founder payouts.
The £750m dividend ends a run of declining returns to Sir James, down from a peak £1.2bn paid for 2022.
Dyson Holdings has already committed to further dividends of at least $70m for 2026, filings show.
Weybourne Holdings, registered in Singapore where Dyson has been headquartered since 2019, manages Sir James's private wealth, property and agricultural operations.
