'Jon & the person 8' star Collin Gosselin claims mother Kate zip-tied him and screamed 'you're a burden' in tell-all memoir

Collin Gosselin, 22, alleges his mother Kate Gosselin zip-tied his hands and feet after he tried to run away aged 11, threw him on the basement floor and screamed 'You're a burden, Collin! You're a burden to this family!' before summoning EMS workers to have him taken to a psychiatric facility. The claims appear in his memoir 'In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood', which hit shelves on Tuesday. Kate has denied the abuse allegations, saying all measures were taken at the explicit recommendation of his psychiatric team to safeguard the family.
Collin claims Kate had a contractor build a sealed room in the basement where he slept on an air mattress for two years, monitored by surveillance cameras.
He alleges Kate sent him to Fairmount Behavioral Health System just before his 12th birthday because he 'pushed back against filming' and threatened her 'facade'.
Collin says Kate told his siblings 'he needs special help I can't give him' — and that his father Jon had no idea where he had been sent for 22 months.
