Early release prisoners are 'handed TENTS' as probation runs out of housing despite Burnham's rough sleeping vow

'I've got a tent, go and live in a park for a bit,' one probation whistleblower admitted telling a freed inmate. Around 100 tents have gone out in a year, and supplies have reportedly run dry. Around 1,350 prisoners were freed this month after serving as little as a third.

Officers once had a year to house prisoners and now get just a couple of weeks.
