EastEnders' Barry actor Shaun Williamson sings a reworked Slade Christmas classic in Lidl's festive advert alongside Chris Kamara

Shaun Williamson, who appears in the campaign alongside former Pompey footballer Chris Kamara, Capital FM presenter Kemi Rodgers and comedian Abi Clarke.

Footage from Lidl's Christmas advert, which coincides with the supermarket's Toy Bank drive running from 5 November to 16 December to distribute toys through charity network Neighbourly.

Shaun Williamson, best known as Barry Evans in EastEnders, leads Lidl's 2026 Christmas campaign in a reworked version of Slade's 'Merry Xmas Everybody', retitled 'Lidl Christmas Everybody'. The ad sees him travelling door to door with bags of Lidl Christmas food and gifts, gathering a growing crowd of neighbours along the way.

Former Portsmouth and TV football favourite Chris Kamara joins Williamson alongside Capital FM presenter Kemi Rodgers and comedian Abi Clarke.

Williamson said putting 'a fresh spin on such an iconic Christmas classic was brilliant fun' and he hopes it gets people 'smiling and singing along'.

The campaign coincides with Lidl's Toy Bank drive, running November 5 to December 16, which has distributed more than 250,000 toys through charity network Neighbourly.
