EastEnders' Barry star Shaun Williamson leads Lidl's Christmas advert with a reworked Slade classic alongside Chris Kamara

Lidl has kicked off the 2026 Christmas ad season with a reworked version of Slade's 'Merry Xmas Everybody', retitled 'Lidl Christmas Everybody', featuring Williamson travelling door to door with bags of festive food and gifts, gathering a growing crowd of neighbours along the way.
Williamson said he 'jumped at the chance' to give the iconic track a fresh spin and spread 'a little festive magic.'
Capital FM presenter Kemi Rodgers and comedian Abi Clarke also feature alongside Kamara in the music video.
The campaign ties in with Lidl's Toy Bank, running November 5 to December 16, which has distributed more than 250,000 toys.
