Reece Salmon, 28, was stabbed to death outside a £1.55 million home on Lloyd Baker Street, Clerkenwell, last Wednesday and died in hospital the following day. He was reportedly a member of Islington's notorious 'Easy Cash Gang' before becoming an international fraudster operating in New Zealand for a UK-based criminal network. Police have launched a murder investigation, with the knifeman still at large.
The 'Easy Cash Gang', also known as 'EC1', terrorised London with moped robberies, drug-dealing in children's playgrounds and violent attacks across Camden, Islington, Westminster and the City.
Salmon was jailed for nearly four years in 2019 after detectives found a gang stash of stolen phones, SIM cards, a zombie knife handle and a replica firearm in a garage in Islington.
Friends called him 'the f***ing loveliest guy you'd ever meet', while his family described the convicted gangster as a 'loving partner and son' who 'leaves behind many friends and loved ones'.
