Ed Miliband is 'to snub' the G20 'family photo' with Russia's Sergey Lavrov at the US-hosted Atlanta meeting

Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband has asked US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to organise a separate photograph for close Ukraine-supporting allies, allowing him to stay out of any shot that includes Lavrov. European diplomats say the arrangement would produce two family photos — one featuring Lavrov and one without him — and warn they "definitely don't want Russia back to business as usual."

Miliband told Parliament on Tuesday: 'We do not engage in that way with the Russians and have not for a number of years.'

EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas is expected to use Atlanta to push partners to strengthen support for Ukraine and advance a Special Tribunal for Russian accountability.
