Edinburgh Zoo asks the public to name its newborn capybara triplets, with Tattie, Tunnock and Still Game's Jack on the list

Edinburgh Zoo's three newborn capybaras — born overnight on 28 October to parents Luna and Rodney — have been confirmed as two boys and a girl after vets weighed, microchipped and checked their teeth this week. Five shortlists of three names are now open to a public vote on the zoo's social media channels, ranging from Scottish food and drink to island geography to outer space.
The triplets join older brother Bru, who became a viral sensation after his May birth made him the first capybara born in Scotland in 18 years.
Family drama has already struck the capybara enclosure — a photo of dad Rodney sharing a pool moment with Luna's sister Cali went viral.
Darren McGarry, the zoo's head of animal care, says Bru is 'a little grumpy' but expects him to become 'best buds' with his new siblings.
