El Salvador’s Bukele says bodies found in Haiti are not those of missing Salvadorans

Nayib Bukele said the remains included a child and a man 'of considerably greater height' than his air technicians. A third body wore a uniform different from Salvadoran kit. Identity cards and military uniforms from other countries were also found. 'They are not our men,' Bukele wrote on X, though the group that delivered the remains claimed they were the missing four.
The four vanished on 18 October after gangs ambushed their armoured vehicle near Port-au-Prince.
They jumped from the burning vehicle while returning to base from a market.
Bukele had claimed gangs were holding the men and launched a rescue operation.
