Elizabeth Holmes's prison friend reveals how the Theranos founder taught her the ropes at a Texas prison camp

Carissa Pollard, 49, a Wyoming mother of two who served 21 months at Federal Prison Camp Bryan in Texas for fraud, has given an exclusive account of her unlikely friendship with Elizabeth Holmes, 42, describing the Theranos founder as someone who "helped everybody" adjust to prison life. Pollard says Holmes guided her through the culture shock of incarceration, bonding over diet struggles and the shared vulnerability of arriving as newcomers. The revelations emerge as Holmes dominates headlines following A24's documentary 'You Can See Everything', which has earned $45 million in its first ten days in US cinemas.

Holmes turned herself in to Bryan two months before Pollard arrived, giving her time to learn the ropes she then passed on.

Oscar-winning documentarian Errol Morris says he is sitting on a never-before-seen two-hour interview filmed with Holmes at the height of her Theranos success and wants to release it.
