Elon Musk pumps nearly half a billion dollars into US Republican campaigns, with $181 million on ONE Texas Senate race

Fresh Federal Election Commission filings show Elon Musk poured another $77 million into his America PAC in the first half of October alone. Much of his cash has backed Texas attorney general Ken Paxton against Democrat James Talarico. Talarico hit back, accusing 'one trillionaire' of trying to 'buy his own personal U.S. Senator'. Republicans face grim polling, with anger rising over the Iran war and the cost of living.

Musk gave $158 million to the Senate Leadership Fund, which passed it to a pro-Paxton PAC.

He has also spent $71 million on Senate races in Ohio, Michigan, Iowa and Maine.

President Trump has mocked Talarico as a vegan and nicknamed him 'James Talafreako'.
