Ukrainian troops say Starlink is STILL throttled despite Trump's claim that Elon Musk has restored full service
Elon Musk's October 14 speed cap on Starlink left some Ukrainian strike and interceptor drones unable to connect, as Volodymyr Zelensky warned "people will die.
'At present, we have not observed any lifting of the restrictions on Starlink,' Serhii Beskrestnov, a military expert advising Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said on Friday. Speeds remain capped at about 100mph, crippling air defences and mid-range strikes on Russia. President Donald Trump dodged questions over whether he had called Musk, saying only: 'The bottom line: he put it back.' Kyiv still has no formal explanation for the slowdown.
Ukrainian drone pilots found last week their aircraft could fly at only half their previous speeds.
Musk insists any limits are 'decided by the US military and ultimately POTUS'.
Democratic senator Richard Blumenthal has opened an inquiry into who ordered the cut.
