Dr Henry Boima 'HB' Fahnbulleh rose to become Liberia's foreign minister, the very post held by Cecil Dennis, who was reportedly shot as many as 60 times on that beach after Samuel Doe's 1980 coup. Testifying to Liberia's Truth and Reconciliation Commission in 2008, he said colleagues had called the killings 'barbarity' but offered no apology: 'the executions went on.'

Jonathan Rich, barrister and Tory activist, says HB Fahnbulleh's account is 'difficult to reconcile with the public record'.

Businessman Michael Biddle wrote on Facebook that HB Fahnbulleh drafted 'the blueprint for Liberia's destruction'.

Energy Secretary Miatta Fahnbulleh reportedly defied Prime Minister Andy Burnham by refusing to sign off Rosebank oil field.
