Joanna Derkacz was found dead on her bed by her sister, who fled the house screaming that he had killed her, as Stephen Sexton, 39, goes on trial for her rape and murder.
Prosecutors allege Stephen Sexton, 39, strangled Joanna Derkacz, 37, at their Waterlooville home between 12.20am and 12.46am on December 28, 2023. Jurors at Winchester Crown Court heard he then messaged a woman: 'I'll be there in 20 minutes ok baby.' Prosecutor Nicola Shannon KC said the killing 'may' have aroused him. Sexton denies murder, rape and coercive control.
Joanna told police on December 11 he was 'very controlling' and could 'flip'.
She once found a hidden Apple AirTag tracker under her car's wheel arch.
Her sister Arleta found her body and ran out screaming: 'He has killed my sister.'
