England's Red Roses are exposed as beatable after Sophie de Goede's hat-trick hands Canada a 31-22 win in Ottawa

John Mitchell's England have now lost consecutive matches for the first time in a decade. Three games against Canada have brought no victories, following last month's 26-26 draw at Sandy Park. The 24-21 defeat in Toronto last week had already snapped a four-year unbeaten run. Canada's transition game repeatedly sliced England open, while the visitors' attack failed to make any meaningful impression at the other end.

Maddie Feaunati went over inside ten minutes, but England's promising start soon faded.
