Escaped Tennessee inmate convicted of killing his co-worker is captured in Missouri after more than a week on the run

Jacob Allen Morley, convicted of murdering a co-worker, was apprehended in Missouri by the state highway patrol after more than a week on the run following his escape from the Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville, Tennessee. The Tennessee Department of Corrections announced the arrest Tuesday, thanking the public and fellow law enforcement agencies for their help.

Surveillance footage showed Morley stealing a white 2008 Ford F-350 from a lot roughly two miles from the prison.

The stolen truck was found behind a shopping centre in Marion, Illinois, around 120 miles north of the prison.

Prior to his arrest, the reward for information leading to Morley's capture had climbed to $17,500.
