EU plans to let British under-30s work in any job as Burnham pushes Brexit reset ahead of November summit

Visa numbers are still being haggled over, with the final figure expected to land between the 50,000 Britain wants and the 150,000 Brussels is pushing for. Andy Burnham told Parliament a reset deal is 'on the table' and that he is ready to sign. A UK-EU summit in Brussels is set for 20 November. Brussels may also delay its demand that Britain cut tuition fees for EU students.

Burnham pledged not to 're-run' Brexit arguments while campaigning in Makerfield in May.

He has since claimed Russian interference in the 2016 referendum.

The youth deal would unlock further pacts on food trade and carbon markets.
