The Friedkin Group has confirmed it is exploring a full sale of Everton, having acquired Farhad Moshiri's 94.1 per cent stake for a reported £400m in December 2024. Moelis & Company has been brought in to manage the process, and any valuation is expected to top the £900m Crystal Palace are seeking. Manager David Moyes admitted weeks ago he had had virtually no contact with Dan Friedkin, fuelling fan fury that the club was always a "side hustle" to Roma.
Fans on social media erupted with claims that the Friedkins came 'to flip a profit' rather than build long-term at the club.
The sale follows Everton's relocation from Goodison Park to the new 52,888-seat Hill Dickinson Stadium, which was completed during the group's ownership.
Prospective buyers will be drawn by the Liverpool rivalry premium — Jeff Bezos's consortium recently valued city rivals Liverpool at £4.6bn.
