Ofcom's yearly review of postal operators revealed that overall customer satisfaction dropped to 75% in 2026, down from a consistent 78% across the three preceding years — marking the first decline in that period. A record 4.6 billion parcels were sent and received in the UK last year, up 8.6%, yet 71% of recipients reported a delivery problem in the past six months, up from 68%. Ofcom policy director Fergal Farragher warned firms to put customers first or face "further measures" to protect consumers.

Evri's dissatisfaction rating hit 42%, the highest of any operator; Yodel was second worst at 33%.

Amazon and FedEx topped the rankings, each recording just 15% dissatisfaction and 56% satisfaction.

The most common complaints were delivery delays, cited by 32% of customers, and parcels left in unsuitable locations, at 28%.
