Evri warns customers to expect delivery delays as backlogs build during network overhaul

From the Newshound archive · first published 29 September 2026.

Evri is warning customers of growing delivery delays as a backlog builds during a major network overhaul. The parcel delivery firm says disruption is spreading across its network, with orders piling up as it works through the transition. Customers have been advised to expect longer-than-usual waits for parcels.

The disruption comes as Evri restructures its delivery network, causing a knock-on backlog across its customer base.

The delays are hitting shoppers already bracing for one of the busiest retail periods of the year.

No timeline has been given for when the backlog will be cleared or normal service will resume.
