Fallon Sherrock plans to spoil her son and buy a house with her 'life-changing' £501k for beating Luke Littler
Fallon Sherrock's young son Rory ran on stage to embrace her in tears after she sealed the £501,000 win with a double-20 checkout.
Fallon Sherrock, 32, fought back tears after hitting double tops to defeat Luke Littler as her young son Rory ran onto the stage to embrace her, sealing darts' second-biggest prize in history. The former hairdresser from Milton Keynes had won the public vote 75-25 over German rival Jarod Becker to become Littler's 15th opponent of the evening, after he had already seen off 14 challengers.
Sherrock won the bull-off to throw first, drilled a 180, and checked out on 43 while Littler was stranded on 142.
She hit back at critics of her inclusion, saying 'I'm just so happy to overcome all the hate and win' — she qualifies as an amateur because she has never held a PDC Tour Card.
PDC president Barry Hearn defended her place in the lineup: 'Do you want just a series of 20 matches where someone can't even throw a dart?'
