Families pay tribute to Minehead couple who died when their camper van and a lorry collided on Somerset's A358

Karen Cozens, 60, and David Cozens, 52, of Minehead, were killed on impact when their white Mazda Bongo camper van collided with a Volvo lorry on the A358 at Combe Florey, Somerset, at around 6.40am on 30 September. Their families say the pain of losing them "cannot be described." Three members of the public stayed with them in their final moments — an act of kindness the family say "won't be forgotten."

Karen's family called her 'the light in our family' who had 'a heart of gold and was a friend to many.'

David's son Matthew said his father was 'the jolliest of blokes' who was 'always so proud of his children and grandchildren.'

The couple shared a passion for camping trips, dog walking and banger racing; both families are being supported by a specially trained liaison officer.
