James Singh Jagpal, described by his family as a loving father of two daughters and a dedicated partner of more than two decades, was killed when a car crashed through the doors of a Wolverhampton Lidl on Friday.

James Singh Jagpal, 39, a devoted father of two from Wolverhampton, died at the scene after a car broke through the wall of a Lidl supermarket on Finchfield Hill shortly before 6pm last Friday. His family described him as "the absolute centre of our world," saying it was "unimaginable" how they would cope without him. Two other women were hurt in the crash but have since left hospital.

West Midlands Police named the driver as a 70-year-old woman, who has left hospital and will be interviewed by officers in due course.

Jagpal's family described him as a "much-loved son and brother, devoted partner of over 20 years and loving father to two wonderful daughters."

His family appealed to the public to refrain from posting footage of the scene online, as specially trained officers continue to support them.
