Farage accuses Andy Burnham of 'total betrayal of Brexit Britain' over his call for an 'honest discussion' on free movement

Nigel Farage branded Prime Minister Andy Burnham 'deluded' and vowed: 'We will fight this dishonesty.' Shadow home secretary Chris Philp warned there can be 'no return' to free movement and said the Tories would oppose any move to restore it. Burnham argued EU migration was 'revolving door' and 'perhaps wasn't as difficult' as now. He meets EU chiefs in Brussels on November 20.

Labour's 2024 manifesto ruled out free movement, the single market and a customs union.

Burnham has said a new deal could mean going 'all the way' and rejoining the EU.

Annual net migration has soared from 330,000 in 2016 to 900,000.
