Robert Jenrick again refuses to call the 'Nigerian scammer' jibe racist as Badenoch says he is 'Nigel Farage's problem'
Kemi Badenoch, who urged former Tory voters to "come home" after the row, accusing Reform of spending their time attacking her rather than improving people's lives.Raheem Kassam, whose posts prompted Conservative chairman Kevin Hollinrake to demand Nigel Farage "come clean" about his ties to him.
Raheem Kassam, Nigel Farage's former UKIP chief of staff and longtime ally, branded Kemi Badenoch a "Nigerian scammer" in a string of social media posts, warning people not to "give her your credit card number". Farage privately rebuked Kassam over the jibe but publicly claimed it was not "intentionally racist" in a BBC interview. Badenoch told Good Morning Britain that Reform thinks "using my race is a way for them to improve their standing."
Conservative chairman Kevin Hollinrake accused Kassam of "launching racist slurs" and demanded Farage "come clean" about his ties to him.
A Lib Dem MP has also spoken out after a separate "physical altercation" with Farage, saying they were "shocked and bloody angry."
Badenoch told Jenrick he was "not my problem anymore — he's Nigel Farage's problem", as Reform's internal racism row deepens.
