Grandfather says five-year-old Rhoam Summer, the youngest victim of the Oregon school shooting, was 'totally without fear'
Rhoam's father, Kelik Summer, called Thursday 'the worst day of my life', writing that the family is 'broken and lost'. Grandfather Bryan Jolly said the boy wrestled with him on the couch and was 'very bright and very mischievous'. Rhoam was shot in a special needs classroom at Silver Rail Elementary in Bend. A 16-year-old gunman, Griffin John II, opened fire there on school picture day.
Three children aged five, eight and 11 were killed, along with teacher Meghan Lambert, 25.
Armed father Kaylub Giamanco followed the gunman into the school and shot him dead.
A fundraiser for the Summer family passed $35,000 within a day.
