'You have to get them out': Trump warns Macron that France could lose its country to immigration as riots spread

Trump, speaking to Fox News Digital after a midterm rally in Texas, described France's crisis as "an immigration problem," not a school problem, and told Macron he had been warning of this for ten years. State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott said the president was "spot on" on the risks posed by mass migration. More than 2,000 people were arrested over a single weekend of disorder, with curfews introduced in certain areas. The unrest began in late September as student demonstrations over school funding before spiralling into a nationwide public order crisis.
Macron, speaking from the Gulf, called claims that France had been "invaded by hordes of migrants and Islamists" "completely false" — and confirmed Trump was among those he had in mind.
The White House's X account posted footage of the riots set against romantic early-20th-century Paris imagery, asking "Is this the future you want?" and warning that Democrats would bring the same chaos to America.
The disorder is reshaping France's 2027 presidential race: centrist frontrunner Édouard Philippe has lost roughly two points and now risks failing to reach the second round, pointing toward a likely Le Pen vs Mélenchon runoff.
